Note on quantities. Repair mortar quantities come from the volume of the breakout, not surface area. Work from the repair depth and allow for over-break. Confirm against the current a.b.e. data sheet before ordering.
Before you specify it
- The substrate must be sound, firm and clean — free of oil, grease, loose particles, cement laitance, old paint and other contaminants.
- All edges must be square cut to a minimum of 10 mm deep, perpendicular to the surface. Never feather edge the product.
- Absorbent substrates must be thoroughly wetted at least 12 hours before application, to reduce suction — suction causes shrinkage and loss of bond.
- Compressed air used for cleaning must be clean and oil free.
- Like all cement-based materials, durarep FR must be cured immediately, as soon as the surface will not be marred.
- The full system must follow the current a.b.e. technical specification.
