ABE Construction Chemicals Range

We stock and supply core ABE construction chemical products in Gaborone. Additional products in the ABE range are available to order. Confirm technical specifications against the current manufacturer datasheet before specifying for a project.

Concrete Repair Mortars & Bonding Agents

ABE's repair range is used to reinstate and bond damaged or worn concrete. aberep 710 is a two-part polymer-modified cement system for permanent, thin concrete repairs and floor patching. durabond GP is a modified acrylic emulsion primer used as a bonding medium ahead of cementitious repairs. epidermix 344 and epidermix 345 are solvent-free structural epoxy adhesives used to bond fresh concrete to existing concrete, with epidermix 345 offering an extended open time where re-bar and shuttering work needs more time before placing concrete. Floor Hardeners & Toppings

abecron is a ready-to-use dry-shake hardener floated into freshly placed concrete to produce a hardened surface for indoor and outdoor floors under light to moderate traffic. abedur S is a granolithic-type topping using hard-wearing natural aggregates, suited to surfaces operating under very wet or dry conditions and subject to extreme wear internally or externally.

Grouts

duragrout is a ready-for-use Portland cement-based grouting compound with graded siliceous aggregate, used for bedding column base plates, machinery base plates and bearing plates. Consistency can be adjusted from flowable to ram-to-suit depending on the application.

Joint Sealants

DOWSIL 888 Silicone Joint Sealant is a one-part, non-sag silicone that cures to a low-modulus silicone rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture, applied over a wide temperature range. Used for movement joints and general construction sealing where a flexible, weather-resistant joint is required.

Below-Grade & Structural Waterproofing Additives

dura.proof krystalkote is a cementitious waterproofing coating that protects concrete structures by crystallisation, recommended for interior and exterior below-grade surfaces. duraflex is a ready-to-use flexible slurry used to protect and repair balconies, terraces and haunching concrete on roads and bridges. These are chemical-system products distinct from the roof membrane systems covered on our Waterproofing & Structural Repair page.

Protective Coatings

silvakote is a one-pack, aluminium-pigmented bitumen solution used as a general-purpose reflective coating on metallic, bituminous and concrete surfaces. Not recommended for surfaces subject to permanent immersion.
