Products & Technical Support

Do you stock waterproofing products in Gaborone?

Yes. We stock a core range of ABE waterproofing systems at our Broadhurst Industrial warehouse, including bitumen membrane, cementitious waterproofing, liquid-applied membranes and concrete repair mortars. We serve contractors, waterproofing applicators, developers and property owners. Same-day collection available. Contact us to confirm current stock and pricing before visiting.

Can Tswanacrete help with product specifications and technical advice?

Yes — technical support is a core part of what we do. We can assist with system selection, substrate compatibility assessment, product specifications and manufacturer documentation for waterproofing, decorative cement, resin flooring and vinyl flooring systems. This service is available to architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors and developers at no charge. Contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email.

Can you assist with a floor that has already failed or was installed incorrectly?

Yes. We regularly assist with remedial and troubleshooting projects — floors that are delaminating, cracking, or were specified incorrectly for their environment. We can help assess likely causes and recommend an appropriate repair or resurfacing system. In many cases the original substrate condition or preparation standard is the underlying issue, so an on-site or photo-based assessment is a useful starting point.

Are Tswanacrete and PourEpoxy the same company?

No. Tswanacrete (Pty) Ltd and PourEpoxy (Pty) Ltd are separate companies. Tswanacrete supplies construction chemicals and surface system products — ABE, Cemcrete, Technical Finishes and Finfloor — and provides specification and technical support. PourEpoxy is a specialist resin flooring installation company based in Gaborone that Tswanacrete may refer clients to when installation is required.

How long before a new resin floor can be used?

Cure times vary by system and are confirmed against the manufacturer's technical data sheet for the specific product used, but as a general guide, epoxy and polyurethane resin floors typically allow light foot traffic within 24–48 hours and are ready for full vehicular or heavy loading after 5–7 days at normal ambient temperatures. Cooler temperatures extend cure times. Always confirm exact timings with your installer before returning the area to service.

Do you supply microcement flooring in Botswana?

We don't stock a product specifically branded "microcement," but Cemcrete's CreteCote and RenoCrete decorative cement overlays achieve a similar seamless, polished concrete look and are available through us in Gaborone. See our Decorative Cement Systems page for details, or contact us to discuss which system suits your substrate.

Do I need to waterproof a bathroom floor before tiling?

Yes. Tiles and grout are not waterproof on their own, so a waterproofing membrane is applied to the substrate before tiling in showers, bathrooms and other wet areas. Correct product selection and application both matter — see our full guide on waterproofing a bathroom before tiling, and always confirm application method against the manufacturer's data sheet or with a qualified applicator.

Can you supply products for polished or stained concrete floors?

Yes. Our Cemcrete decorative cement range includes colour hardeners, stains and sealed finishes that give concrete floors a polished or stained decorative look, suited to residential and commercial projects. Product choice depends on the substrate and desired finish — contact us or see our Decorative Cement Systems page for options.
